Advanced Course // Bristol

Advanced Route Setting is a 1-day course aimed at route setters who have completed our Intro to Route Setting course or those who have route setting experience gained elsewhere and completed our online certification, Route Setting Essentials. This is to make sure everyone on the course is up to the same standard, allowing us to spend as much time as we can developing your route setting!

This course is being hosted at the state of the art bouldering facility, Flashpoint in Bristol, and will equip participants with the skills needed to take their setting to the next level whether that be commercially or for their own enjoyment.

We will focus on advanced setting techniques and creativity as well as the appropriate use of holds and volumes for a given situation.

Please make sure that you are confident with the tools of the trade, ladder usage and basic route setting principles if you wish to skip the Introduction course. Everyone on the course MUST have previous route setting experience.  If you are unsure whether you have the required experience please send us an email with an outline of your setting experience and we will be happy to advise you.

Any cancellations with notice of 14 days or more of the date of the course will receive a full refund. Any cancellations less than 14 days before the start date will not receive a refund.
