Workshops with...

Having travelled the world to perfect his craft, having lead teams from Paris to Sydney, Ryan joins us to share some real insight on the topic of Intention vs Intensity.
Ryan's workshop explores the relationship between creative intention and physical intensity in route setting.
The session challenges setters to:
-
Develop their ability to create intentional, forced movement
-
Interpret and execute another setter’s concept
-
Strengthen communication and collaboration skills
-
Improve their forerunning and analytical ability
-
Adopt a holistic perspective, understanding that a boulder is a product serving the gym’s broader setting goals rather than an individual creation.

After an eye-opening few days with Pierre last November, we can't wait to welcome him back to delve further. As an Olympic setter, IFSC regular and co-creator of the infamous Flathold no-tex range, Pierre is always pushing boundaries and searching for new movement. His workshop explores Movement as a System.
Pierre's workshop explores how new movement should be created in a structural way, with logic and systems.
The session challenges setters to:
-
Break down complex movements into singular stages to truely understand them
-
Delve into the system Pierre uses to layer these movements into something more complex
-
Understand that even the most complex movements can be broken down into very simple foundations.
